biodiversity metrics
We provide data files containing species-based metrics for select major groups of life, calculated from the current version of TimeTree (Version 6, released in August of 2026). As the reliability of these metrics depends on taxonomic completeness, we only include groups with minimum 50% taxonomic completeness.
Conservation and biodiversity:
Evolutionary Distinctiveness (ED), fair proportion
Pendant Length (PL)
Macroevolution and diversification:
Diversification Rate (DR), fair proportion rate
